  Sanitation and  hygiene is linked not only to human health but also to overall human development. 

 In this direction, to achieve the goals of sustainable development, it is necessary to pay serious attention to the issues related to drinking water and sanitation. 

 In the last five decades, various efforts have been made to provide sanitation and drinking water to all, but some shortcomings have also been found in these. 

 Achieving goals through behaviour change

 The most effective way to achieve the goals related to drinking water and sanitation is behaviour change. 

 While addressing the orientation workshop of block level workers of 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal' programme under Lohia Swachh Abhiyan, Behaviour Change Officer of Water Aid, Shantanu Kumar said during a one-day workshop organized in a hotel.

 In this sequence, he said that without behavioral change, it is difficult to completely achieve the goals of sanitation and water management. 

  Said that Water Aid India has made many important efforts towards behaviour change in the last three years with the help of the government and Panchayats.

  *Behaviour change through Nukkad* 

 Water Aid India expert Himanshu Shekhar said that efforts are being made to revive the folk art of Madhubani through social art. 

 The main objective of this initiative is to encourage behaviour change through social art.

  He said that with the cooperation of the state government, the efforts of social art are being expanded and its impact will be visible soon. Social art efforts 

 not only has it revived the local culture, but it has also increased awareness on cleanliness and drinking water issues.

 In a step forward towards cleanliness

 Junior Engineer of PHED, Block Coordinator of Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan, Block Health Manager of Primary Health Center and Lady Supervisor of ICDS were also included. 

 Let us tell you that during the workshop, the experts emphasized that Bihar will soon achieve the goal of 'tap water for every house' and cleanliness. 

 This requires public participation with the state government and local bodies. 

 District Coordinator Chaudhary Saif Uddin, Administrative Officer Vikas Kumar, Maya Shankar Rai, Ashish Kumar, Adarsh ​​Kumar and Anju Kumari and others were present on the occasion.
