On the occasion of the death anniversary of French microbiologist and chemist, Louis Pasteur and chemist, in the free anti-rabies vaccination cum public awareness program at the sub-divisional level veterinary hospital located in the city, a total of 25 volunteers to save the life of pet dog.

DAHO Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh, while addressing on the occasion, said that World Rabies Day on 28 September every year is the only global day to raise awareness about the effects of this viral disease and ways to prevent it. He told that due to the infection of rabies, a disease caused by dog bites, inflammation of the brain (encephalitis) occurs in humans and warm animals. Initial symptoms include tingling at the site of exposure, violent activity, uncontrolled excitement, water phobia, inability to move body parts, confusion, and loss of consciousness, leading to 20 lac, deaths per year. An effort of the Animal Husbandry Department, the Veterinary Hospital located in all the sub-divisions of the district was given anti-rabies vaccine to Pet Dog.
Veterinary surgeon Dr. Rajesh said that during the anti-rabies vaccination cum public awareness program organized under the aegis of Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, he told that it is a good thing to take care of animals and love them, so always keep in mind that you yourself.
